A Web That Works Feb 25, 12:03 PM

I would like to see a web where students in higher education can unite to be a force as formidable as the mommy blogger.

I would like to see a web that teachers in elementary, middle and high school classrooms can connect with across the globe and use its technology to prepare students better than before.

I would like to see a web that political leaders in every country cannot ignore or censure because it keeps them accountable.

I would like to see a web that sheds harsh lights on injustices of human rights that have been kept in the dark for too long.

I would like to see a web that encourages citizens to act and fosters a sense of civic responsibility.

I would like to see a web that has as much data on Zambia as it has on America – from a Zambian viewpont.

I would like to see a web where people in under-reached parts of America, Africa, South and Central America and other parts of the world have the same amount of trend-affecting power as we do here in America.

I would like to see a web where communities can tell their own stories, create their own art and share their own histories.

I would like to see a web diverse enough where, when I send out a request for a black hair braider, I get tons of responses – in my area.

What kind of web would you like to see? What are you doing about it?
